2nd Lieutenant John Allan of 11 Squadron succumbed to his injuries today. This follows the death of his 11 Squadron colleague 2nd Lieutenant Henry Herbert Turk yesterday.

Both men had been taking part in an experiment to collect a message from a wire strung between two poles. Unfortunately the propeller of their FE2b (7700) got caught in the wire and the plane nosedived into the ground.
