18 November 1915 – Not much doing

Dull and foggy November weather has set in over the last few days and has curtailed flying considerably. Nevertheless a few have got up.

Captain G T Porter and his observer Lieutenant Davey of 2 Squadron, were returning from a long range escort mission in their BE2c (1732) when they were attacked by a Fokker. When it got to within 100 yards, Davey fired half a drum at the Fokker, which then flew off.
