2 November 1915 – Captured

Lieutenant John Beverley Robinson of 12 Squadron was taken prisoner today. He took off from Le Crotoy on a routine flight in his Maurice Farman (1857) to 3 Aircraft Park. He never arrived as he was forced to land behind enemy lines and was captured.

Robinson was originally from Canada, and attended University of Toronto (Trinity College) in 1906. He left Canada in April 1915, travelled to England and obtained Royal Aero Club Certificate 1217 on 6 May 1915 at Brooklands;He joined the RFC as a 2nd Lieutenant in July 1915. He went to France in September 1915 with No.12 Squadron.
